Theresaisms: Christmas Gifts

Yada yada yada, Asians are cheap. I know the stereotypes. But hey, like TJ Max commericials go " I am a Maxinista!" in other words, no I am not spending 80+ bucks for something you paid kids in Asia to make for $0.20, but if I continue with that thought in mind, I wouldn't get any shopping done this Holiday season. So I composed a lists of things that you SHOULD not get someone for the following reasons:

- they probably won't even use it

- its hedious

- it scares the hell out of the gift-ee

- down right stupid gift

So gifts you shouldn't get someone?

(1) Bath Sets

Because they probably won't use it anyways, unless stated, don't take the risk.

(2) Cheap Perfume

Yeah, you know exactly what I am talking about. Those packaged ones at Walmart. Reasons? Do I really need to get into details.

(3) Cheesy Lines Printed stuff

These gifts are like one night stands, you will never see them AGAIN.

(4) Fascinating, yet stupid toys

EX: the golfing game for when you are on the toilet. Sorry, they are STUPID and I wouldn't want to trip on it while bumping my way into the bathroom in the middle of the night.

(5) Victoria's Secret Body Spray/Lotion

Do you know how long it takes to use up a bottle? I know I am not the only one, you probably have like 3 bottles of Love Spell that still hasn't been used up yet. To add to the aggravation, besides smelling incredibly good, does the lotion even keep you skin silky? NOPE!

(6) Those cute talking cards and toys

It isn't cute anymore when it goes off in the middle of the night. I can hear the screams of all the horrified gift-ees out there. Let them be heard!

(7) Mens Cartooned Boxers

Yeah, he may like Family Guy, Batman, Superman, or what ever else there is. But that doesn't mean he wants Stewie printed on his ass and Batman printed where is junk is supposed to be. That is plain skanky!

(8) Printed Tees

I thought these were out back in the early 2000's but damn I still see girls sporting tee shirts with lines such as " Flirt" or "Stop Staring" ...okay Pokemon tees cool, Sailor Moon cute...but " I have a black belt in flirting"??! Not CUTE!!!

(9) Gift Cards

Don't you hate it when someone gives you a gift card for $25 and us use like $22.75 and there is nothing you can get with the remaining balance and that ends up going to waste? Oh, and lets face it these stores have an abundant list of RULES you have to abide by when using the damn card.

(10) DVD Players

We are all upgrading to Blu Ray anyways getting anyone a regular DVD player is like a kick to the face."YEAH! STAY IN THE STONE AGE BITCH!"

Basic Rules of Gifts:

- Don't buy useless junk. Like Christmas ornaments, by the time they open up the gift it will be too late its ALREADY Christmas you IDIOT!

- If they don't have a car then don't get them a sun screen for their NON EXISTENT car! DUH!

- Basically use your head, you wouldn't get a Vegan a $100 gift card to a Steakhouse

-Its more about the meaning than the gift, so get that camera out, shoot some out of this world pictures, put a frame on it and VIOLA!

- BARGAIN HUNT!

Winter Acessories

Its getting cold, even if Christmas will be over by the time they open it, it will help your gift-ee keep warm until the cold subsides. Ex: earmuffs, scarves, slippers, socks

Electronic Accessories

We live in the electronic age, so get them an Iphone charger if that seems like something they need, or a USB drive. Whatever it is you see they need most.
