KISS Acrylic FRENCH TIP Nails W/ Forms Review/Instructions

I love trying out new things, and of course when I stumbled upon the new KISS acrylic nails set (include forming powder, brush, acrylic fluid, and powder) I was so down to try this out!  (First thought? I am sooo going to mess this up!)  You know those instruction sheets are quite tricky sometimes ( and the person who did the model picture in front are usually PROFESSIONALS) all that aside, I scurried over on over to the register and bought the package.  Here are my "attempt" to be a manicurist. ^^

BTW, the who set cost  $11.99 w/o tax, pretty good deal considering you can play with it for...about 3 times around. It comes with French Tips, and Natural Tips.

So you have the Acrylic powder, the glue, the liquid, tips, cuticle pusher, form brush, and filer. A complete kit for your DIY.

I have to clean these ugly phalanges first.
TA DA! Removed nail polish, cut, and filed nails...before washing...remember to wash hands and nail beds with warm water and soap after cleaning and pushing cuticles in. I skipped the cuticle part because I don't have much cuticles to work with.

Glue on the tips! Mine is a little crooked, coordination sure isn't there.

okay, all tips glued on. ^^ Looking better so far than I thought!

The tips were too long so i trimmed it to be liking.  Really long nails are so hard to work with (especially putting on my eyelashes and eye contacts, ekk!)

Okay here comes the tricky part get a little cap or bowl and pour some acrylic liquid in it.  ( OPEN all the windows! This stuff SMELLS!!!!) Then dip the the brush in it (get it well saturated because the brush it stiff) Scrap the brush on the side to get the excess liquid out, and dip it into the powder to get a ball of powder.  Apply to nail bed working upwards until smooth and fully covered.  Repeat to all nails and then file down to smooth and blend the acrylic and nail bed.
Filed the sides to get it to look more natural.

Form on...time to file it down to get it to be smooth.

After filed down...wash hands now.

I applied O.P..I's  "Nicole" line base coat.

Then top coat, while it was still wet I added some rhinestones.

Okay! Almost done!  One more coat of Top coat and bam!

Product review:  The brush provided made it a challenge to get the form to be completely smooth.  (But for $11.99, guess I can't complain much) The powder wasn't fine as the salon used ( I guess that is why it is called DIY) All in all I suppose this is a great DIY product, I didn't mess up that bad, so if I can do it I am sure the monkeys uncle can too!! ( **NOTE I AM TERRIBLE AT DOING NAILS, THAT IS WHY I GO TO THE SALONS)

OVERALL RATING
4 OUT OF 5 STARS THANKS TO KISS FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO STAND ANOTHER DAY OUT OF THE NAIL SALON LISTENING TO THOSE LADIES YAP THEIR MOUTHS OFF IN VIETNAMESE (SUCKS MORE IF YOU UNDERSTAND)
